Garments on the Layout

I have experimented with the layout i created for next and then added the garments that i had produced . . .

Next Layout

I have re-created a layout associated to Next that i think would look good to present the collection on, as a general layout to relate to the brand.

Garments Completed for Storyboard (so far)

Using the fabric samples that i collected and created into swatches, i assigned the swatches to specific garments that i would like to appear in the collection. Here is my progress so far...

Next Layout - Logo

I copied next logo onto Adobe Illustrator and completed a Live Trace. The reason i did this was so that the logo for the brand i am going to represent was in vectors. This maked the logo easier to work with in different design software. Live trace doesn't always achieve the expected results, however luckily in my case, i feel that i have created a good quality trace.

Assigning Swatches to Particular Garments

This week I used the Garment Specification Library,

and selected particular garments that I liked.

I then assigned one of my swatches to the garment that I think would work well.

I did this work on Adobe Illustrator, I feel that my next task could be to look

at what information is required to go alongside the garment and swatch, as

appropriate specifications.

My next step would be to create a new swatch

and fill the garment template with the chosen swatch.

Then apply the garment specifications.
